Shiloh Christian Center believes the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith.
  • We believe in The Trinity; The Father God; The Son Jesus; and The Holy Spirit.

  • We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin birth to Mary, was crucified at Calvary for the remission of our sins, was resurrected after three days, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father continually making intercession for the believers.
  • We believe in personal salvation of believers; sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit; holiness, purity of heart; divine healing through faith in the Name of Jesus; water baptism; the gifts of the Spirit; the Fruit of the Spirit.

  • As born again baptized members of the Body of Christ, we pledge ourselves to: Be a dynamic, spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with all people in our church community and throughout the world.

  • The main teaching points outlined for the congregation include the importance of salvation through Christ Jesus; the benefits of being empowered, indwelled, and continuously filled by the Holy Spirit; the value of spiritual gifts; prayer and fasting; cheerfulness of giving through tithes and offerings; and the concept of individual and corporate purpose in the Kingdom of God while becoming humble and submissive to the order and authority outlined in God's word.

  • While all the teaching areas are of importance, submission to the order and authority that God set for the house of Shiloh became the lesson that had to be taught first and foremost. As a female, an African American female, with a focus on bringing male role models into the church and back into the homes, Bishop Gordon has encountered a strong obstacle of traditional doctrine that expressed the idea that women were definitely not called by God to lead the church as senior pastors. Overcoming this obstacle was not an easy one. Tradition had already outlined numerous scripture references taken out of context to support this opinion. Therefore, it was imperative that the people of Shiloh not be held captive by tradition, and that God's word be clearly understood by utilizing scripture references that clearly show that God, who is Sovereign, can and will empower whomever He desires.
